HOW TO HOOK-UP YOUR COMPUTER TO YOUR TV!

HOW TO HOOK-UP YOUR COMPUTER TO YOUR TV,
(Monitor/Receiver)

First you need to find out what hook-ups you have on the back of your TV, (VGA is probably the easier). Next, find out what resolution your TV will support BEFORE you hook-up your Computer to it. Next, set the proper Resolution on the Computer and plug in the VGA cable OUT of the Computer INTO the TV. Note: If you have one of those old style monitors that have the VGA Cable hardwired into your old Monitor you will need to buy a separate VGA Cable, (about $6.99). Next, go to the web site called powerstrip and download  the FREE software to tweek-out the system.

DO NOT hook up a Computer to a Plasma or CRT big or small screen TV because of the burn in issue.

SPECIAL NOTE TO MITSUBISHI DLP, (52” & 62” 2005 Models) and LCOS, (82”) 2005 Model OWNERS: Set the Resolution of your Computer BEFORE you hook it up to the Mits. to 720 X 1280, hook-up to the Mits., then go to powerstrip.com on the web to tweek it out.

FROM 2006 MODELS ON WITH DVI OR HDMI CONNECTIONS
ON YOUR HDTV

For units that DO NOT have a VGA connection on their TV use a DVI connection from your computer to the DVI or HDMI connection on your TV. NOTE: You may need to get a DVI to HDMI adapter or VGA to HDMI. Start the resolution of you computer to 720 X 1280, then you may be able to increase the resolution of your computer higher. Good luck and Enjoy!
