DVD PLAYERS and Blu-ray DVD Players
All right for all of you that think all electronics are the same, or you live in Vegas and think you are lucky. A DVD deals with two laser beams separated by less than the thickness of a human hair. DO NOT BUY THE CHEAPEST DVD YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON!!!!! Many a time I hear customers say if it breaks I’ll just buy another. What in the world would possess people to want to spend money over and over again, instead of buying a good DVD in the first place???? One last thing. Look at your warranty from the manufacturer. The first word is LIMITED. It gets worse from there. The Limited Warranty on most electronics exist as follows: * 90 days Parts & Labor, (FOR A MANUFACTURING DEFECTS ONLY) Blu-ray DVD Players First and foremost if you own a 720P, (1366 x 768) TV you may want to just buy an upconverting DVD player and save the $10.00 extra for each Blu-ray movie. Check the resolution of your TV first, it should be 1920 x 1080 or 1080P. The main difference between a regular DVD and a Blu-ray is storage. A DVD stores about 8.5 gb while a Blu-ray stores about 50 gb, thus you can store a higher resolution picture on it, up to 1080P. ALWAYS use an HDMI cable when hooking it up! Hook up is quite easy, just run an HDMI cable from the Blu-ray DVD player to the TV. If you have a surround sound system, then run an optical or digital coax cable from the Blu-ray player to the surround sound system.
